So, how did my day begin today? I'll give you two clues....

Doesn't look like a good combo, does it? You're right, it was not fun! Thing 2 "accidentally" dropped Thing 1's Gameboy into the toilet, right after he had peed (before flushing). Since this was way too ishy for him to deal with on his own Super Mom had to step in to save the day. So, mere seconds before I was to walk out the door for work I had to stick my hand into a urine filled toilet to (hopefully) save the Gameboy. It is still being dried out, so we will see how successful my attempt was. Here's hoping that's one experience that I can chalk up on the "Mom's gross to-do list" that only happens once.

So Thing 2 came home with a "Magic Trick". I need help figuring out how it works. I know it has something to do with number placement, but I can't consistently get it right. He has 5 cards each with 16 numbers on them ranging from 1-31. He asks you to pick a number between 1 and 31, and then asks if your number is on each of the cards. He keeps them in order, and always gets it right. Help me. The cards are as follows:

Please help if you can figure this out.  I hate being bested by an 8 year old.

Every year around this time I get depressed. It starts in Feb. and lasts until I can start to see hints of spring. I have accepted this fact, and yet, every year I still find myself in a funk. It seems like nothing will make me happy, like spring is never coming, like life is closing in on me. So, to give myself a little reality check here are 3 reasons that life is not grey, life is bright, sunshiny yellow....
